Hey guys here's another piece that I had with me at the Derry con but i was reluctant to put it up coz i have the intentions to paint it. But considerin' this sketch was well received in Derry, i thought i'd put it up n e how.So here's Wolverine, a character that i still want to develop sum more. I kinda started with the whole trying to make him look like a cat, to try n keep him feral lookin'. and i think i achieved that at one stage in my ruff work, but as soon as I went to add on his Chops, this gorilla look came out. He even looks more like a gorilla when i went and elongated his forearms (purely just so i cud go n give him sum pretty long claws). And in fairness i like where im goin with it. But i do want to make him shorter and stockier, for me he's still too tall right now. So watch this space for a stocky, gorilla lookin painted Wolverine in the near future.

Life must be difficult being a wolverine...toilet time must be very dangerous. Cool pic, look forward to seeing the colour version one.
cool man
Why would you need claws like that if you could kill somebody with an Argos pen?
This would be rather difficult to animate....
you should simplify your characters a bit more. focus on the pose and actual structure...show the body in full, draw the feet. other wise its still an unfinished drawing.
His facial expression is weak and it doesn't seem like you grasp the concept of this character. You should research him a bit more, work on the posing and re draw it.

just to say, this sketch was never ment to be animated. just drawin' him for the sake of drawin' him, maybe 4 doin a few samples of wolvie.
I totally agree with the researchin' him a bit more, and everthing else. Regarding the feet - ur dead right there's an element of a life drawin' problem i had to fix earlier on in my career thats obv followed thru,I dropped the ball a bit here. thanks a mill for the comment.
